J.F. Wahl Construction Updates

The Helena-West Helena School District is excited to share ongoing updates about the new addition at J.F. Wahl Elementary—a major project that will expand learning opportunities and create modern, student-centered spaces. This expansion, which began with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 30, 2025, represents a significant investment in safety, accessibility, and high-quality instruction for all students.
As construction progresses, this page will serve as a central hub for news, photos, and milestones. The 29,250 square-foot addition will include a storm shelter, new classrooms, specialized therapy and fine arts spaces, a cafeteria expansion, and more. We look forward to keeping our families and community members informed as this important project moves forward!
