From the Desk of Superintendent Xavier M. Hodo, Sr.
Dear HWHSD Families & Staff,
I am writing to share important information, as extremely cold temperatures are forecasted across the state for Friday, January 23. During previous cold-weather events of this magnitude, our community experienced extended school disruptions, including frozen and burst pipes.
To help you prepare and to reduce the risk of similar challenges, I have attached an informational flyer with practical tips for protecting your home, maintaining water service, and staying safe during severe cold linked HERE. It includes guidance from trusted state linked HERE and federal sources linked HERE. I encourage you to review the attached flyer and take any preventive steps that apply to your household.
HWHSD will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and will communicate any school-related updates as needed.
Thank you for your partnership, and stay safe.
